SPECIAL NOTICE TO SPRINGFIELD SANITARY DISTRICT CUSTOMERS WITHIN THE CURRAN-GARDNER WATER DISTRICT SERVICE AREA

At the request of the Springfield Metro Sanitary District, the Curran Gardner Water District has agreed to serve as the billing agent for the Sanitary District.  The Sanitary District rates, as determined by the rate schedule adopted by the Sanitary District Board, are now included on the Curran Gardner billing system. The Water District has no authority to set sewer rates, nor to otherwise interfere in the operation of the Sanitary District. Questions concerning the rates set by the Sanitary District, or questions about the operation of the Sanitary District should be directed to the Sanitary District offices at 528-0491.


The Sangamon County Water Reclamation District has increased it's rates effective May 1, 2022 as per their Rate Ordinance approved July 31, 2019.  The new rate increase will be effective on or after May 1, 2023 are as follows.

SCWRD Monthly Service Charge:  $13.95

User Fee per 1,000 Gallons:     $8.69


The Village of Curran will be increasing their sewer rates on  or after May 1, 2023, as follows:

Residential minimum flat rate:    $63.96

Every 1,000 after first 2,000:     $9.69

Business minimum flat rate:       $86.29

Every 1,000 after first 2,000:     $9.69

2024 RATE INCREASE

As set forth by Ordinance 59, the District will increase the water rates based on the Social Security Administration cost of living increase plus half of one percent. Therefore, the 2024 rate increase will be 3.7 percent. This increase will take effect January 2024. Curran Gardner Townships Public Water District is dedicated to providing reliable water services in a cost-effective manner while protecting our water resources and the public’s health.

2022 DRINKING WATER QUALITY REPORT (CCR)

NOTICE OF AVAILABILITY OF THE 2022 CONSUMER CONFIDENCE REPORTS FOR OUR CUSTOMERS

Each year we provide to you our customers an Annual Water Quality Report (commonly known as the Consumer Confidence Report). While the vast majority of 
our customers receive their drinking water from our 3382 Hazlett Road water treatment plant, some of our customers receive their drinking water from the
city of Springfield's CWLP facility, or the South Sangamon Water Commission facility. Per the Consumer Confidence Report regulations, we are required to provide
the appropriate water quality report to you. The following is how we made this year's reports available to our customers.
